Period of employment /Hours:
Fixed term full-time day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP until 30 June 2028 (a period approximately 2 years)

Homes Tasmania - Community Infrastructure , Property Maintenance – North / North West
Duties Primary Purpose / Focus:As a member of the Property Maintenance Services team, contributes to the growth and sustainability of Tasmania’s community infrastructure, with a specific focus on the social and affordable housing portfolio, through the delivery of responsive and planned maintenance services. The core objectives of the position are to:
- Provide project support and coordination of day‑to‑day operational tasks in relation to compliance and contracts managed by the Community Infrastructure business unit.
- Support performance activities associated with maintenance related contracts and new initiatives.
- Prepare procurement documentation and provide project management support in relation to major contracts.
- Provide a liaison point for contractors in relation to contract variations, escalation of contract determinations, contract interpretations and dispute resolution processes.
- Oversee contract payments and process including making recommendations to the authorised delegate in relation to payment disputes or issues.
Selection criteria includes:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contract performance, contract management and compliance principles and practices.
- Sound understanding and advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Outlook and related systems, for the preparation and dissemination of executive and management information reports.
- Well-developed ability to effectively design and implement maintenance operational programs and undertake project management.

- Current Driver’s Licence.
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
