Overview
Job Summary:
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Mission Community Hospital will work in our Emergency Department (ED)
from 11am-11pm and will be responsible for providing basic medical care and transportation to patients in a timely and efficient manner. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in our healthcare/medical department located in Panorama City, California.

Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and provide care to patients in need
- Assess the nature of each patient's injuries or illness and provide appropriate medical treatment
- Administer medication and assist with basic medical procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
- Safely transport patients to the hospital and provide continuous care during transit
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient care and any treatments given
- Keep medical equipment and supplies clean and stocked
- Attend trainings and meetings to maintain and improve knowledge and skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current EMT certification in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an EMT, preferably in an emergency department setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
