We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Consulting Admixture Pharmacy Technician to join our diverse healthcare team. This role requires a combination of technical skills, clinical knowledge, and a passion for improving patient care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of inpatient experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and dispensing medication under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following strict safety protocols.
  • Accurately mixing and measuring medication, maintaining meticulous records of dosages and instructions.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of pharmacy procedures and best practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy for patients.
  • Providing medication and healthcare-related advice to patients, ensuring they understand their medication therapy and any potential side effects.
  • Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities, identifying opportunities for improvement in medication use processes.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of pharmacy, including new drugs, therapies, and technologies.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations relating to the practice of pharmacy.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient setting.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited program.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy systems and software.
  • A strong understanding of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacology.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • A high level of integrity and a strong commitment to patient safety and privacy.
