Job Details
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Admixture Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This unique position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and highly specialized environment, providing critical support to our oncology team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the preparation, handling, and dispensing of cancer and hazardous drugs, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Assisting in the safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of hazardous drugs, with a particular focus on cancer medications.Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safe handling of hazardous drugs.Collaborating with the oncology team to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of drug preparation and dispensing activities.Providing consultation and advice to healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of medications.Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance programs.Participating in continuing education and professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in pharmacy practice.Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in an oncology or hospital setting.Extensive knowledge and experience in the preparation and dispensing of hazardous drugs, particularly cancer medications.A current Pharmacy Technician certification.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.A strong understanding of and commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures.The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and technology.Benefits
