Senior Dietitian - Diabetes

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, using a high level of individual judgment and critical thinking skills, conducts complete and focused clinical nutrition assessments, prioritization of complex data, problem solving, counseling and regimen adjustments for high risk patients, such as patients who have diabetes with complication, multi-system organ failure, Stage IV pressure ulcers (etc.) of all ages within specialty practice of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).

Works in conjunction with other health care professionals, such as pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to maintain optimal nutrition health for individual with potential or known alteration in nutritional status.

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition.
• Master's Degree in Nutrition or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Current Registered Dietitian with one advanced certification, such as:
• Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or
• Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE) or
• Fellow of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND) or
• Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR) or
• Certified Oncology Specialist (COS).
• Upon hire:
  National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
• 2 years experience in direct patient nutrition care; 5 years preferred.

• Master's Degree in Science or Public Health.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
