• We serve adults with developmental disabilities at their homes and in the community to help increase or maintain their independence.
• DSPs travel to meet 1‑3 individuals per day, providing one‑on‑one skills training based on individualized goals.

• Assist participants in their homes with budgeting, meal planning, hygiene practices, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide opportunities for participants to develop socialization/interpersonal communication skills and practice self‑regulation/coping techniques.
• Provide hands‑on training, observation, and evaluation of household tasks and assist with further development.
• Advocate for participants’ inclusion in the community and empower them to exercise their rights.
• Use Build Ability’s digital program to log progress and performance.

• Full‑time: 15‑25 hours per week.
• Mornings to evenings.
• Hours may change weekly based on availability.

• San Fernando Valley Region:
  Sunland, Tujunga, Burbank, CA.
• Traveling position.

• Starting at $18.00‑$21.00 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications).

• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact positively with individuals with disabilities and their families, employers, and others.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting background clearance.
• Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel up to 75%.

• Fluent in Spanish.
• Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities (on‑the‑job training provided).
