Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Obstetric Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations focused on maternal-fetal health, providing critical imaging support for obstetric care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques to ensure accurate assessments and high-quality patient care. The Obstetric Sonographer will collaborate closely with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to support prenatal diagnostics and monitor fetal development.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive obstetric ultrasound examinations, including routine fetal assessments and specialized maternal-fetal imaging.
- Utilize sonography equipment to capture detailed images of the fetus, placenta, and maternal structures.
- Interpret ultrasound images in real-time to identify abnormalities or concerns, communicating findings effectively to the medical team.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures.
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records, ensuring clarity and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, addressing patient concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout examinations.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other specialists to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning based on imaging results.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology, obstetric care practices, and relevant clinical guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and physiology related to pregnancy.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and sonography techniques.
- Experience with medical imaging modalities relevant to diagnostic radiology and obstetrics.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques diligently during procedures to prevent infections.
- Demonstrated understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology pertinent to obstetric imaging.
- Skilled in patient care with a compassionate approach tailored to expectant mothers' needs.
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology principles enhances image interpretation accuracy. Pay: $28.00 - $36.32 per hour
