Possession of a current Louisiana Sanitarian's license plus one of the following:
- Four years of experience as a sanitarian; OR
- A master's degree in public health, food science, dairy science, environmental or sanitary science, or one of the physical or biological sciences plus three years of experience as a sanitarian.
Positions in the Molluscan Shellfish program require that applicants complete the Louisiana Boating Education program and be certified by the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.
Job Duties- Management of the Total Coliform Rule (Revised) and Ground Water Rule within an assigned region in the District
- Conducts Class 1 Surveys for compliance with the State Sanitary Code and the Safe Drinking Water Program.
- Responsible for personnel supervision, management, and development, performs training activities as needed
