Primary Duties and Responsibilities

You can expand your engagement in the community while working at UCLA Health. As a Sr. Licensed Vocational Nurse on the UCLA Health Ambulatory Float Team, you will travel to various ambulatory clinics to provide administrative and patient care support to a diverse population.

This role requires a Clinic Assistant with a highly flexible, enthusiastic and proactive approach. Travel to all UCLA Community practices throughout the greater Southern California area and being physically present at the job site is required. Days and hours may vary depending on assignments. Rapid same day response assignment capability for urgent situations in an environment involving a high level of activity.

Salary range: $36.34 - $47.94 Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Possession of active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal
  • Possession of active BLS/CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedures
  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills
  • Experience performing phlebotomy, CPR, injections, and other skills within scope of practice
  • Ability to be highly flexible, travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health community based practices and work a variable schedule

Highly desired:

  • Minimum of six months of working experience as a LVN in a healthcare setting
