Job Description & How to Apply Below

Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) is a private, nonprofit, community‑founded, student‑centered university with three colleges:
Nursing, Science and Health, and Medicine. CDU is committed to cultivating diverse health professions leaders dedicated to social justice and health equity for underserved populations. In July 2023 it opened a new MD degree program in its College of Medicine, demonstrating that commitment. Founded in 1966, CDU is located in South Los Angeles bordering Watts and Compton. This year CDU celebrates 60 years of training diverse health leaders locally and worldwide.

Outstanding education, individualized mentorship, clinical service, and community engagement lie at the core of the CDU experience.

College of Medicine

The College of Medicine entered the final phase of the LCME accreditation process for its new MD Program, which launched with a charter class of 60 students in July 2023. The program builds on a strong foundation of graduate medical education (family medicine, psychiatry, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction medicine) and NIH‑funded disparities research. CDU’s joint medical education program with UCLA has produced graduates since 1985 and will sunset in 2027, setting the stage for the new MD degree program.
