We are currently in the process of expanding and adding a second location in Long Beach, CA. We are committed to fostering a culture where everyone is empowered to achieve their wellness goals.
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager for a part-time, on-site role based at our Los Angeles, CA location. Weekly or bi-weekly travel to Long Beach is required. The HR Manager will oversee recruitment processes, ensure compliance with labor laws, manage employee relations, and develop company policies and procedures. Because we are a movement and fitness company part of the hiring process requires candidates must be comfortable conducting and attending brief 20 minute demo classes for prospective hires of movement classes.
Background and/or experience with working in the fitness industry is ideal. Additional responsibilities include handling payroll, maintaining records, conducting training sessions, and supporting a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with our organization's mission and goals.
- Strong skills in employee recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition
- Knowledge of labor law compliance, HR policies, and payroll management
- Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with HRIS software and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Experience working within or supporting diverse, inclusive, and mission-driven teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field ideal
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
