We are seeking an Certified Payroll Specialist for our Van Nuys, CA office.

Our team is hiring a Certified Payroll Specialist to process weekly certified payrolls, maintain accurate records, and support compliance for projects. You’ll manage uploads across platforms like LCPtracker and DIR, handle start‑up paperwork, assist with audits and union reporting, and provide customer support. Ideal candidates have certified payroll or labor compliance experience, strong data‑entry accuracy, Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Requirements
  • Process weekly certified payroll and upload to platforms such as LAUSD, LCPtracker, DIR, GCPay, and Emars; distribute reports as needed.
  • Maintain certified payroll electronic files.
  • Provide customer support for certified payroll inquiries.
  • Monitor emails for contract information.
  • Maintain project Excel sheet with project details.
  • Process certified payroll start‑up paperwork, including required one‑time CPR forms.
  • Support Union Reports, Status Letters, and various payroll audits.
  • Cross‑train with Payroll Administrator duties.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
Education & Experience
  • Experience with Certified Payroll reporting, LCPtracker, and CA DIR prevailing wage rules are highly desirable.
  • Labor compliance experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of Payroll Union experience (construction payroll preferred, not required).
  • 2+ years of data entry experience with strong accuracy and 10‑key skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence and professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with similar deadlines.
