Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly and partner payrolls, including general ledger posting and related reports.
- Verify the accuracy of payroll information by reviewing, auditing, and analyzing employee time sheets, payroll records, and reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers regarding payroll matters.
- Maintain compliance with payroll-related regulations, including wage garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Train and supervise payroll staff as needed to ensure organization and timely completion of tasks.
- Protect the confidentiality of all employee information and payroll records.
- Assist with annual retirement plan remittance schedules, censuses, and audits.
- HS Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably in law firm environment .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and payroll software's.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in handling payroll discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and coordination with HR departments.
- Experience in conducting payroll audits and implementing process improvements.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
