Talent Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Employee Relations
Under the direction and guidance of the Controller, the Human Resource Lead is responsible for assisting in job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, maintaining employee records, onboard new hires, administer compensation and benefits, ensure compliance with labor laws, assist in managing employee relations, answer questions related to ESOP, any required labor reporting and surveys, as well as general administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To be successful in this role the following essential duties must be performed:
- Recruitment and hiring: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including writing job postings, sourcing candidates through various channels, screening applications, setting up interviews, and coordinating background checks.
- Employee relations: Service as a point of contract for employees and management, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Benefits and compensation: Administer employee benefits plans, assist with payroll processing when needed, manage enrollment in benefits program, and administrative and reporting duties surrounding the 401(k) and ESOP plans.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee the smooth transition of new hires through onboarding and conduct exit interviews and offboarding activities for departing employees.
- Compliance and record keeping: Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records along with all union and job compliance requirements.
- Training and development: Coordinate or facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills and support professional development and workshops.
- HR strategy and implementation: Assist in developing and implementing HR initiatives, employee engagement programs, performance reviews, and other related ESOP programs.
- Other HR: Perform other duties as required from time to time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Audits: Any employee related periodic audits as it pertains to union, workers’ compensation and job related (OCIP/CCIP) audits.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as an HR generalist, preferably experience working within the construction industry. ESOP experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in HR, business administration preferred or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced knowledgeable skills in HR functions and responsibilities. Proficiency in HRIS a plus

- Software/Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Suite. ADP (including report writer), SAGE (CRM) knowledge a plus
