Join us as an HR Clerk at the Los Angeles Center for Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy (LA CENTA).

Job Summary

As a member of our HR team, you will gain hands‑on experience with HR systems, recruitment, policies, and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring smooth department operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with full‑cycle recruitment for entry‑level positions.
  • Support onboarding (name badges, uniforms, etc.).
  • Prepare, process, and review applicant and employee documents.
  • Handle COVID‑19 contact tracing, tracking, and email notifications.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with contacts during operations.
  • Act as liaison for college/school networks and extern students.
  • Address applicant and employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and hiring procedures; refer complex queries to senior HR personnel.
  • Organize activities promoting employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • Perform additional tasks as delegated.
Requirements
  • 4‑year degree preferred; not required.
  • 1–2 years of HR clerical experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS (Paylocity) preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • 1–2 years recruitment or application screening experience required.
  • Knowledge of labor regulations preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting for long periods.
  • Use of hands and fingers in repetitive motions daily.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 10 lbs. periodically.
  • Travel to clinic locations or sites as needed.
  • Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods; may lift office equipment.
