About dotdotdash

dotdotdash is a global experience innovation agency, helping brands create new paradigms.

dotdotdash is a global experience innovation agency, helping brands create new paradigms. We create multi-sensory experiences built for impact, crafting distinct and connected systems across the brand ecosystem.

As part of Omnicom, we’re an international team of dreamers and makers delivering boutique service and craft, with the reach and resources of a global network.

At dotdotdash, we are more than marketers; we are explorers, innovators and creators of what’s next. Our name, inspired by morse code – a simple yet revolutionary medium of communication – and specifically the pattern U, is a nod to our belief of putting people at the center of what we create and like Morse code in its time, our work reimagines how brands communicate with audiences today.

At the heart of everything we do are the principles that guide how we create and collaborate:

  • Play. We are curious and create space for experimentation.
  • Take Risks. We challenge the status quo and take informed risks to push boundaries.
  • Stay Humble. We lead through example, listening and learning.
  • Adapt. We evolve at the pace of culture and technology.
  • Be Diligent. We commit to persistence and details from concept through delivery.

We’re seeking to grow our team with individuals who share our passion for tangible creativity, our commitment to pushing boundaries, and our belief in the power of participatory experiences.

And as dotdotdash expands its role within Omnicom, we are seeking a Strategy Director to help define the next chapter of the agency and its Strategy impact.

The Role

The Strategy Director is the communications strategy lead s role owns communications strategy and measurement for a flagship EV client across digital, social, OOH, retail, and experiential work—turning audience research and business objectives into crisp frameworks, briefs, and decision-ready recommendations.

This position balances originating strategy with translating it into platform-specific direction and clear measurement. You will lead audience research, craft messaging and channel architecture, and build reporting rhythms that help teams and clients understand what’s working, what’s not, and what to do next—while staying adaptable to shifting client priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Create and lead communications strategy (messaging frameworks, channel roles, comms architecture) to guide campaigns and experiences across digital, OOH, retail, and experiential.
  • Originate and synthesize audience insights (qual + quant) to inform strategy, briefs, and platform direction (including how comms strategy shows up in web/UX priorities).
  • Own measurement strategy and performance analysis (dashboards, web + social analytics, CRM signals), translating data into optimization actions and future strategy, and establish and maintain a weekly cadence of reporting and performance readouts.
Operations & Ways of Working
  • Operate autonomously across a fast-moving client environment—anticipating needs, adapting to changing priorities, and keeping work moving without heavy oversight.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure success across the communications ecosystem.
  • Drive proactive client inspiration: contribute to a weekly inspiration newsletter (Dispatch-style) and lead monthly sessions to spark future projects aligned to business objectives.
Who You Are
  • A senior marketing/comms strategist (agency-side experience preferred) with strong fundamentals in messaging, channel strategy, briefing, and creative partnership; automotive experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Data-fluent and comfortable working across analytics and insight platforms—ideally including Omni Business Analytics, Sprinklr (social), and GWI (audience/market insights)—and able to connect signals to clear strategic direction.
  • A sharp writer and facilitator who can distill complexity fast, bring structure to ambiguity, and stretch beyond comms into adjacent areas (e.g., digital experience/UX direction, and future-facing product/service strategy) when needed.
  • Strategic rigor with creative taste—knows when to push, when to cut, and what not to do.
  • Experienced working within, or alongside, large agency networks, while protecting independent thinking.
Why This Role Matters

This role will help define what Communications Strategy looks like next, not only at dotdotdash, but across Omnicom Advertising. It is an opportunity to shape culture-led innovation, influence meaningful work, and build a smarter, more accountable comms + measurement practice that can flex across campaigns, platforms, and experiences.
