What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in information security, preferably within legal or professional services settings
- Current certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, or the proven ability to attain one within the first year
- Deep technical expertise in EDR/MDR, SIEM, MFA, encryption standards, and cloud security solutions like Azure and M365
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex risks in clear, business-oriented language to partners and leadership
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing innovative security strategies
Nice to Have:
- Experience leading security audits and compliance efforts in a legal or professional services environment
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST
- Experience managing incident response teams and developing incident plans
- Vendor management experience, especially evaluating third-party security postures
Preferred
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Proven track record of implementing security policies and managing security tools in a fast-paced professional setting
Additional Requirements:
- Must be prepared to actively participate in ongoing professional development, including attendance at premier industry conferences such as Black Hat, RSA, and ILTA
- Ability to work on-site or in a hybrid environment in Los Angeles, California
- Willingness to lead and collaborate at the executive level to embed security into the firm’s core business strategies
