A large, mission-driven nonprofit organization based in downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Director to lead enterprise technology strategy and operations. Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable technology services that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

The Director serves as a senior IT leader overseeing technology strategy, service delivery, cybersecurity, and vendor management, while leading a high-performing team and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the organization’s technology strategy, aligning systems, infrastructure, and services with business and mission goals
  • Oversee day‑to‑day technology operations, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across infrastructure, applications, and end‑user environments
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing technology team, including staffing, performance management, and succession planning
  • Own cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance (including PCI), and incident response planning
  • Direct technology projects and initiatives, including system implementations, integrations, cloud migrations, and upgrades
  • Partner with business leaders to understand needs and deliver effective, scalable technology solutions
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, vendor relationships to ensure cost‑effective outcomes
  • Establish governance, standards, and processes that promote consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including senior leadership roles; nonprofit experience preferred
  • Broad expertise across enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and business systems (ERP, CRM, etc.)
  • Proven experience leading teams, managing complex technology initiatives, and delivering reliable IT operations
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact
  • Collaborative, people‑first leadership style with high integrity and sound judgment
