The OpenAI Education team partners with educators, educational institutions, and countries to shape how AI can be used to advance learning, accelerate research, and enable the next generation to build the skills and capabilities needed for a rapidly changing world. We aim to deliver measurable gains in cognition and achievement, partnering closely with educators, students, and adult learners to develop products and programs that are safe, trusted, and impactful.

As Head of Education, Enterprise, you will own and scale OpenAI’s Enterprise Education vertical. You will set the enterprise strategy with a cross‑functional team, define the products and solutions we bring to market, and work directly with partners to execute high‑impact programs in K12 and Higher Education.

We’re looking for a strategic, product-minded leader with experience working with GTM teams and external partners. In collaboration with the education ecosystem, you will drive OAI’s vision for AI in education, shape the products we bring to market, lead pricing and packaging, build durable institutional relationships, and create the blueprint for institutional AI adoption  will report to the leader of the education and learning vertical.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We offer a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. Travel is required given the global scope and relationship‑driven nature of the work.

• Own and drive cross‑functional execution of the B2B education strategy, setting priorities, driving execution, and ensuring alignment with company strategy.
• Shape product roadmap by translating institutional needs into clear product and engineering inputs.
• Lead pricing, packaging, and positioning for enterprise offerings in partnership with GTM, Growth, and Product Marketing.
• Build OpenAI’s presence with institutions, enabling the GTM to build partnerships and programs that define leading adoption.
• Represent OpenAI in the field with senior leaders across institutions, governments, and ecosystem partners.
• Define success metrics, track progress, and report out to leadership with clear learnings and narrative.

• Have built or run a business — either as a founder/operator or as a senior leader within a scaled organization — and you’re comfortable being accountable for outcomes.
• Are product‑oriented and technically fluent — you are passionate about OpenAI’s technology and can partner effectively with Product teams.
• Have a strong executive presence and enjoy building trust with senior institutional leaders.
• Have strong commercial instincts and experience, and can balance near‑term delivery with long‑term market shaping.
• Can operate cross‑functionally and drive alignment across Sales, Growth, Marketing, Product, and leadership — especially in ambiguous, fast‑evolving markets.
• Are a creative problem solver and can create clarity amid ambiguity and translate it into programs, partnerships, and playbooks.
• You’re energized by defining a category and building the playbook for how a global sector adopts a transformative technology.
