Overview
The Intune Administrator will report to the IT Manager / IT Lead. The Intune Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the uptime and efficient operation of our mobile device management systems from a technical support perspective. This role involves managing various applications and configurations within Microsoft Intune that support our global day-to-day operations. Collaboration with technical teams across our global operations, including locations in Los Angeles, Asia, and Europe, will be required to ensure seamless and secure mobile device management.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Strategic Improvement and Optimization:
Proactively enhance the Intune environment for better efficiency, security, and user experience by identifying improvements, developing strategies, and recommending new features. - Daily Operational Support and Maintenance:
Provide ongoing support for Intune issues, monitor system health, enforce policies, and manage user/device groups. - Development and Implementation:
Design and deploy new Intune policies, enrollment strategies, and integrations with other IT systems. - Change Request Management:
Handle and implement approved changes to the Intune environment with minimal disruption and thorough documentation. - Scripting and Profile Management:
Automate tasks using Power Shell and create/manage custom configuration profiles for different devices. - Application Deployment and Management:
Package, deploy, and secure mobile applications through Intune using app protection and management policies. - Security and Compliance:
Implement and manage security measures, enforce Conditional Access, monitor compliance, and assist with audits. - Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain Intune documentation and provide training to users and IT staff. - Collaboration and Communication:
Work with other IT teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders on Intune matters. - Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on Intune advancements and recommend new technologies.

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administering and managing a Microsoft Intune environment in a medium-to-large organization. This experience should include:
- Proven experience in deploying and managing Intune policies, configuration profiles, and compliance rules.
- Hands-on experience with various device enrollment methods (e.g., Autopilot, Apple Business Manager/School Manager, Android Enterprise).
- Demonstrated ability to package, deploy, and manage mobile applications (iOS, Android, Windows) through Intune.
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting app protection policies (APP) and mobile application management (MAM) policies.
- Practical experience implementing and managing Conditional Access policies based on device compliance, user identity, and location.
- Experience with endpoint security configurations within Intune, such as device encryption and integration with security tools.
- Familiarity with Power Shell scripting for automating Intune tasks and generating reports.
- Experience in providing Tier 2 or Tier 3 level support for Intune-related issues.
- Solid understanding of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and its integration with Intune for user and device management.
- Technical
Skills:- Strong understanding of Microsoft Intune architecture, features, and best practices.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting iOS, Android, and Windows devices within Intune.
- Knowledge of mobile device operating systems and their security features.
- Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) as they relate to mobile device connectivity.
- Understanding of security principles and best practices for mobile devices and data.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications related to Endpoint Management (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate).
- Experience with co-management scenarios involving Intune and Configuration Manager (MEMCM/SCCM).
- Knowledge of mobile threat defense (MTD) solutions and their integration with Intune.
- Experience with scripting languages beyond Power Shell (e.g., Graph API).
- Familiarity with ITIL framework or other IT service management methodologies.
