Staff Business Architect – Time Recording & Management
We are seeking a Senior-Level Staff Business Architect to support a large-scale Time Recording and Management transformation initiative within Enterprise Technology. This is a highly visible role focused on business architecture, requirements leadership, and end-to-end delivery of time and payroll-related platforms.
This is not a development role — we are looking for a senior, business-oriented architect (similar to a Senior Business Systems Analyst) who can drive requirements, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
What You’ll Be Responsible For- Translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Lead requirements gathering, functional design, and business process analysis
- Create detailed documentation (requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, technical specs, process flows, etc.)
- Ensure full traceability from business requirements through testing and delivery
- Partner with technical teams to ensure solutions align to requirements
- Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, demos)
- Execute and support testing, validation, defect triage, and acceptance criteria confirmation
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and decision inputs (RAID)
- Collaborate across business partners, solution architects, delivery managers, and 3rd-party vendors
- Lead matrixed project teams and vendor resources
- 5+ years of experience delivering large Finance / Time projects
- 10+ years overall ERP experience
- Deep expertise in Time Recording & Management
- Experience with 3rd-party SaaS front-end time systems integrated to SAP back office (REQUIRED)
- Strong background in timecard processing, payroll, or related business processes
- Proven ability to lead projects (not just execute tasks)
- Experience working independently with minimal guidance
- Experience managing full SDLC in Agile environments
- Business Architecture methodologies experience
- Experience leading matrixed teams (architects, developers, PMs, vendors)
- Strong stakeholder management across all enterprise levels
- Media industry experience is a plus
- Strong communicator who can bridge business and technology
- Highly organized with exceptional documentation skills
- Proactive problem solver who anticipates risks
- Comfortable operating in complex, large-scale environments
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy
