We are seeking an experienced IT Communications Specialist to lead the strategy and execution of internal IT communications. This contractor will partner closely with IT leaders and teams to translate technical initiatives into clear, engaging, and visually compelling content for broad internal audiences. The role requires an independent, proactive contributor capable of delivering polished, on‑brand communications with minimal oversight.
Scope of Work / Key Deliverables- Bi-monthly IT newsletter (end-to-end ownership)
- Monthly IT wins and success stories
- Quarterly thought leadership content aligned to IT priorities
- Lightweight content roadmap aligned to IT initiatives
- Proactively partner with IT leaders and teams to source stories and extract key messages
- Translate complex technical work into clear, engaging narratives for internal audiences
- Produce multi-channel content beyond email, including short videos, visuals, intranet or collaboration platform posts
- Design and deliver visually polished communications using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and basic video editing tools
- Recommend and implement scalable, cost-effective communication formats and channels
- Tailor messaging for executive-level audiences while maintaining relevance for IT teams
- Manage deadlines independently and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
- Ensure alignment with brand standards in partnership with the internal Brand Marketing team
- Proven experience in internal communications, IT communications, or technical storytelling
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Strong content design and visual storytelling skills (not writing-only)
- Hands‑on experience with modern content creation and design tools
- Ability to operate effectively as an independent contractor with minimal oversight
- Experience supporting enterprise or global IT organizations
- Portfolio demonstrating newsletters, internal campaigns, or multimedia content
- Familiarity with internal collaboration or intranet platforms
This role is expected to manage work independently within the agreed monthly hours and collaborate closely with IT stakeholders. All deliverables must align with internal brand standards and guidelines.
