About the Role
Seeking an experienced and dynamic Services Evangelist to focus on how to build successful programs to Protect People and Defend Data by optimizing Proofpoint’s world‑class technology solutions globally. This role will lead presales conversations, strategy sessions, and value propositions for organizations looking to operationalize Proofpoint technology solutions. You will use your deep knowledge and experience to advise customers on how they can combine people, process, and technology to achieve their Cybersecurity objectives.
This individual will be a major contributor to our aggressive plans regarding market share and positioning holistic programs to solve complex problems in the Cybersecurity space.
- Engage with both current customers and prospective customers in person (occasionally), by phone, and/or video conference, at your discretion.
- Conduct and lead services value conversations with internal team members as well as customers and prospects.
- Build rapport, trust and credibility with Proofpoint teammates and customers, as they will rely on your expertise and advise how to plan and move forward with major Cybersecurity initiatives.
- Assist in presenting in webinars and Proofpoint customer‑accuracy events.
- Provide valuable customer insight and real‑world experiences to services leadership and influence in service design, go‑to‑market strategy, and pricing.
- Be an expert on Email Security, Security Awareness Training, Information Protection, and Cloud Security.
- Use your judgement, share your ideas and form lasting relationships and experiences that will help shape the next steps in your professional journey.
- 10+ years of experience in managed services sales or delivery, former executive or practitioner who planned or implemented Email Threat Protection, Information Protection, or Cloud Security programs.
- Strong executive level presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong background in a wide range of Cybersecurity including current advanced threats, threat protection, data protection, cloud security, malware protection and/or incident response.
- Must be organized, detail and process oriented.
- Must be a self‑starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Enjoy working with people and helping them solve their problems.
- Comfort leading open, collaborative conversations.
- A track record of success presenting to / educating field sales, SEs, and customers.
- Rigorous organizational skills.
- Security certifications such as CISSP are strongly preferred.
