SUMMARY
The Legal Systems Administrator - Talent Systems is responsible for the comprehensive administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Firm's legal applications and databases, with a primary focus on legal recruiting, performance evaluation, and artificial intelligence tools. This role ensures the reliability, security, and effective configuration of these systems in support of the Firm's broader business objectives.
In this position, the LSA serves as the subject matter expert to manage system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement to maximize system performance and user experience. The role requires close collaboration with attorneys, professionals, and firm leadership to understand operational needs and translate them into effective, scalable solutions. The LSA also contributes to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, including artificial intelligence solutions, to advance the Firm's innovation and strategic objectives.
The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-office visits as required. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to one of the Firm's offices.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION, CONFIGURATION, AND MAINTENANCE
- Oversee the administration and continuous operation of the firm's legal applications, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security standards are met.
- Configure system settings, workflows, fields, and user roles to align with business needs.
- Monitor integrations, performance, uptime, and data integrity.
- Manage system updates, patches, and release cycles.
- Participate in the planning and design of disaster recovery strategies for all related systems.
- Partner with recruiting, human resources, attorney development, and other stakeholders to understand business needs.
- Translate business requirements into system configurations and enhancements.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and system optimization.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams/vendors.
- Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, automation, and user experience.
- Design and implement enhancements, including workflows, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
- Conduction comprehensive testing to ensure quality and accuracy of system changes.
- Maintain a backlog of enhancement requests and prioritize based on business impact.
- Support the evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing administration of artificial intelligence tools used in legal operations.
- Ensure AI tools are implemented and governed in accordance with firm policies and applicable legal and ethical standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance on the use of AI tools.
- Monitor and report on AI tool performance, usage, and alignment with firm policies.
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies relevant to the legal industry and provide informed recommendations to firm leadership regarding potential adoption or risk mitigation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and provide expert-level support to end-users for system-related issues and inquiries.
- Diagnose and resolve technical and functional system issues in a timely manner, coordinating with vendors and third-party support as necessary.
- Track and document support requests, resolutions, and recurring issues.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies, data retention, and archival strategies.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with firm policies.
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with applicable access, governance, privacy, and security policies and regulations.
- Support compliance-related initiatives and documentation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, including configurations, user guides, and workflows.
