Job Summary

The Lead ETL Data Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing current and future data warehouse, business intelligence solutions, and data migration projects. This role leads ETL development activities, mentors other developers, collaborates with data and BI architects, and ensures high‑quality ETL code and data solutions.

Duties
  • Responsible for requirement analysis, design, development, architecture, implementation, and support of enterprise‑wide databases, including gathering and presenting ETL documentation.
  • Leads staff, assigns and checks work, providing guidance and training on performance.
  • Oversees daily workflow, recommends process enhancements, and manages technical decisions with management.
  • Delivers data integration, manages data exchange and storage, and recommends upgrades to maintain smooth operations.
  • Optimizes data warehouse performance, addresses data conflicts, and maintains up‑to‑date data definitions.
  • Stays current with best practices, attends workshops, and expands professional networks.
  • Plans and estimates all project phases and supports Agile sprint management.
  • Manages technical planning, SDLC standards, stakeholder engagement, and ensures project deliverables are on time.
  • Leads defect review meetings, collaborates with QA to debug ETL development, and prioritizes tasks around milestones.
  • Provides technical support or leadership for continual service improvement.
  • Tunes and optimizes ETL and database processes and framework.
  • Ensures adherence to data governance policies, fixes data quality issues in collaboration with analysts and architects.
  • Analyzes effort and resource requirements for projects.
  • Automates processes using UNIX shell and Python scripts for business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields (Statistics, Mathematics, Business Systems). In lieu of a degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields (Statistics, Mathematics, Business Systems).

Experience
  • At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, and testing ETL interfaces aligned with defined requirements, preferably in healthcare, analytical, or technology industries.
  • At least 3 years of leading process, program, or staff experience.
  • Experience in software development with a strong emphasis on data warehousing concepts, database design patterns, ETL methodologies, processing and transforming massive data, data cleansing, data quality, and performance tuning of ETL and database processes.
  • Experience with Erwin data modeling toolset.
  • Extensive experience in strategizing roadmap projects, data modeling, designing ETL frameworks, and data mart life‑cycle development, providing technical supervision for large end‑to‑end data warehouse applications.
  • Experience with UNIX Shell and Python scripting for automation of batch and ETL jobs.
Skills
  • Strong technical skill to learn, certified, and lead a team to EDM technology roadmap, including Cloud‑based Informatica tools (IICS), AWS, and Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute IT strategies to meet and exceed goals.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic business objectives and ability to identify and present solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephonic communication skills.
  • Ability to develop business relationships with IT and business personnel.
  • Proven consultative and strategic skills with outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent ability to engage key decision makers and sell complex solutions.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in providing high‑level technical expertise.
