Responsibilities
- Data Extraction & Transformation
:
Extract, clean, and transform data from core systems including the Global Spend Report data model, Payroll Accounting Systems, and the Netflix Production Finance HUB, and aggregate and correlate data to accurately report on job counts, vendor spend, and location spend across global markets. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration
:
Work closely with stakeholders across Production Finance, Public Relations, Finance & Strategy, Data Science & Engineering, and Studio Tech Solutions, translating business needs into actionable data solutions. - Ad Hoc & Strategic Analysis
:
Perform rapid‑turnaround ad‑hoc analyses and longer‑term strategic projects like trend analysis and workflow optimization, providing actionable insights and clear reporting. - Technical Development & Workflow Improvement
:
Develop expertise in existing data models, identify inconsistencies, recommend improvements, and integrate data from adjacent partners. - Data Visualization & Reporting
:
Build metrics, dashboards, and reports using Google Sheets, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms, presenting insights in a clear, accessible manner. - System & Tool Experimentation
:
Proactively engage in self‑training and experiment with new tools and technologies to improve analytics workflows and drive innovation. - Production Finance Team Support
:
Guide executives on data access, analysis, and reporting; respond to pulls, insights, and custom analyses. - Data Quality & Issue Resolution
:
Monitor data integrity, troubleshoot urgent issues, and ensure accuracy and completeness. - Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
:
Maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and system configurations, and share best practices with the broader team.
- A degree in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, etc.) and 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics engineering, or similar.
- Advanced SQL proficiency and database infrastructure knowledge.
- Advanced Google Sheets proficiency.
- Experience with Python, R, or other statistical programming languages.
- Excellent data analysis and visualization skills.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of database concepts and data pipelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively with global teams.
- Flexibility in re‑prioritizing as situations arise.
- Detail‑oriented yet able to understand the bigger picture.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment.
- Flexible and open to different perspectives.

- Annual salary range: $150,000 – $230,000.
