Computer Consultant II – USC Schaeffer Institute

Position Summary:

The Schaeffer Institute is seeking a Computer Consultant II to work closely with the Director of Operations and the Schaeffer leadership team. The primary responsibility is to provide IT and A/V support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students at the Institute, working closely with the IT/desk support team at the Price School.

• Provide IT and A/V support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students.
• Collaborate with the IT/desk support team at the Price School.
• Perform occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work for special projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested and respond to changes in duties at any time.

• Minimum Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree (combined experience/education may be considered as a substitute).
• Minimum Experience:
  
  2 years of relevant experience; 3 years preferred.
• Field of Expertise:
  Knowledge of computing environments, experience with networks, workstations, wireless communication, security software and procedures, and working knowledge of associated hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals.

• Full-time, grant funded, one‑year fixed‑term position.
• 100% FTE, fully on‑site work arrangement.
• Hourly rate: $38.93 – $43.34, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
