Job Title: Computer Support Technician – On‑Site (Hospital Environment)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Required Vaccination: Flu shot within the year
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Computer Support Technician to join our on‑site IT team at a hospital. This role is responsible for supporting, repairing, replacing, and relocating computers and peripherals throughout the facility. While healthcare experience is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands‑on support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications.
- Relocate and set up IT equipment for staff moves and department changes.
- Use Service Now to manage and document support tickets and work performed.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to minimize disruption to patient care.
- Escalate complex issues to higher‑level support teams when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies, including data security and privacy standards.
- Support mobile devices and hospital‑specific applications.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of hospital staff from an IT perspective.
- Participate in routine maintenance, patching, and updates of systems.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with Service Now or similar ITSM tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role.
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified:
Modern Desktop Administrator Associate - Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in IT preferred.
Compensation: Starting pay range $29–$31 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
