Job DescriptionThe Senior Epic Report Developer works with users throughout the organization to gather requirements, design, and develop organization-wide reports. Create and deliver reports, ad‑hoc requests, dashboards, and deliverables. Design, test, and implement reports and data extracts from enterprise database sources. Write SQL queries against complex data models. Translate requests into programming specifications as needed. Use enterprise reporting tools across the organization.
Provide ongoing support for production reporting environments. Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis. Work independently on complex projects. Conduct complex work, provide consultation, and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Triage intake of data requests and clarify technical requirements.
- Use SQL to develop required reports.
- Lead development lifecycle: requirement assessment, development, testing, delivery.
- Collaborate with enterprise data intelligence analysts.
- Develop technical solutions including design documents, code, configuration.
- Perform unit, regression, connectivity, and end‑to‑end integration tests.
- Manage migration from test to production, following change control standards.
- Facilitate design and technical meetings, provide documentation.
- Write and optimize complex queries.
- Deploy reports in the appropriate enterprise environment.
- Manage report production, scheduling, monitoring, and user account management.
- Track, document, and resolve reporting technical issues.
- Maintain business objects universe and documentation, using SAS, Crystal Reports, Access, Business Objects.
- Maintain online production reports, associated user accounts, scheduling, notification.
- Follow team standards for specification, implementation, testing, change management, distribution, and documentation.

QualificationsExperience Requirements:
- Five (5) plus years of experience with SQL and a range of query tools such as Oracle, SAS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Microsoft SQL, Tableau, etc.
- Experience with patient‑care‑oriented databases, hospital‑based administrative database applications, and data warehousing technology.
- Experience in system analysis, user relations, and vendor interactions.
- Knowledge of relational database technology and client‑server applications.
Educational/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare, or related field.
- Epic Certification preferred.
