Position: Manager, Business Intelligence IS

Business Intelligence Manager

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for conceptualization to implementation of both tactical and strategic data warehousing, reporting, and analytics solutions for the Enterprise Analytics Business Intelligence team. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include oversight of Enterprise BI platforms, management of daily BI production activities, and supporting projects requiring BI solutions. The BI Manager also defines the Enterprise-level BI vision and strategy, and implements new BI or analytical products and services to address shifting market and BI tool trends to increase BI delivery efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Plans and manages BI needs & development for strategic BI platforms – SAP Business Objects and Tableau.
  • Provides both strategic and tactical input on the data warehouse architecture and data model.
  • Evaluates, selects, and implements new technologies and development tools for reporting, dashboards, data modeling, and ETL design and development.
  • Builds, leads, and develops the BI team consisting of highly motivated onsite and remote resources.
  • Responsible for managing workload, providing coaching and annual performance appraisal, participating in the selection of new hires, making recommendations for personal development, promotion, and terminations, and inspiring the team to perform at optimum levels.
  • Plans and establishes go‑live activities, including ongoing production support and various SLAs.
  • Interacts with business stakeholders and other groups within the IT organization to understand data and reporting needs & manage expectations for ongoing delivery.
  • Represents the bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.
  • Fosters and maintains good relationships with colleagues to ensure that processes are integrated to support expected customer service levels.
  • It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the financial products the bank provides, the services the bank delivers, the processes employed, and the incentives with which colleagues are awarded.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years of leading Business Intelligence teams.
  • 5 years of Finance and Banking industry experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
  • Supervision experience required with demonstrated success using information to drive understanding and business decisions.
  • Knowledge of System Life Cycles (requirements, functional design, technical design, implementation guide, user help, and support or troubleshooting documentation).
  • Hands‑on experience working with Oracle 11G, SAP Business Objects BI 3.1 or higher, SAP Business Objects Data Services 4.0 highly preferred.
  • Outstanding English written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to author and deliver presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface and effectively communicate with multiple levels of management.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong intellectual and business acumen.
  • Strong leadership, partnership, or consultancy skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently with peers, end users, senior management, and outside vendors.
  • Awareness of corporate objectives and initiatives.

  • Capable of transitioning knowledge of management to others; creates an environment of teamwork.
  • Working knowledge of the solutions implemented as part of the BI strategy.

Starting base salary: $122,535 – $208,715…
