Arrae is seeking a highly detail-oriented, data obsessed Technical Email Marketing Specialist
to join our team. You'll bring a level of operational email marketing expertise typically found
within a top agency directly in-house. This is not a creative calendar planning role; it's for
someone who lives inside Klaviyo, loves solving complex retention challenges, and thrives
behind the scenes building the systems that power a best-in-class customer experience.
You’ll own the day-to-day execution and optimization of our email marketing channel, from campaign and flow builds to segmentation, testing, reporting, and platform management.
Whether it’s troubleshooting a Recharge event, fixing an HTML issue before a send, optimizing flow logic, or uncovering insights from A/B test results, you’re the person the team turns to for answers.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with Klaviyo, retention operations, and subscription-focused brands, ideally from an agency environment or high-growth DTC company.
You don't just execute campaigns - you build the operational foundation that allows our email + SMS channels to sustainably scale.
What You’ll Do- Own the day-to-day technical execution of Arrae's email marketing program across email and SMS, ensuring campaigns and automations are built accurately, deployed on time, and optimized for performance.
- Build, QA, schedule, and launch campaigns in Klaviyo, managing audience segmentation, dynamic content, personalization, and scheduling.
- Build, maintain, and optimize flows, including post-purchase, welcome, replenishment, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, winback, and engagement journeys.
- Develop and manage sophisticated audience segments to support personalization, testing initiatives, and lifecycle targeting.
- Monitor flow performance and campaign health, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Own A/B testing execution across campaigns and flows, including setup, tracking, documentation, analysis, and presentation of findings to the broader team.
- Conduct thorough QA across email, SMS, links, UTMs, dynamic content, and personalization variables to ensure flawless execution.
- Maintain retention platform operations, including customer properties, custom events, list cleans, integrations, and data hygiene.
- 2–3+ years of experience in retention marketing, email marketing, CRM operations, or lifecycle marketing within an e-commerce or DTC environment. Agency experience or working in-house with 8-9 figure subscription brands is a plus.
- Advanced Klaviyo expertise is required. You should be highly proficient in flows, segmentation, dynamic content, reporting, deliverability, troubleshooting, and platform administration.
- Hands‑on experience working with integrations like Recharge, Stay AI, Skio, Zaymo, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently, including flow logic, integrations, rendering issues, tracking discrepancies, and basic HTML/CSS edits when needed.
- Strong analytical skills and a genuine passion for data, testing, measurement, and continuous optimization.
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple moving pieces without sacrificing quality.
- Experience documenting processes, maintaining testing libraries, and creating operational systems that improve team efficiency.
- Familiarity with attribution, UTM tracking, and retention reporting.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email troubleshooting and template edits.
- Experience supporting A/B testing and experimentation programs.
- Experience with in beauty, wellness, health, or high-growth DTC brands.
- Experience with or desire to learn email authentication and deliverability best practices, including DMARC, SPF, DKIM, domain reputation monitoring, and inbox placement optimization.
