Overview
IT Technician – Immediate opening in San Pedro, CA. The role requires supporting IT and network systems for a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Respond to employee inquiries and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Guide users through troubleshooting steps using diagnostic tools and verbal instructions.
- Document technical problems, solutions, and procedures for future reference.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software updates.
- Support Windows and macOS, including Active Directory management.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and group policies.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
- Assist with network configuration and performance monitoring.
- Provide basic training and guidance to end users on IT tools and best practices.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Arrange service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.
- Monitor technology innovations and trends, and communicate relevant updates with vendors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required; degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting IT and network systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
365 and intermediate knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and hardware components. - Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of network technologies including TCP/IP, switching and routing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or collaboratively.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving desktop, network, and mobile device issues.
$27.00 – $35.50 per hour.
