Summary
Our client, a respected and growing organization based in West Palm Beach, is seeking a remote IT Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide infrastructure initiatives across multiple U.S. locations.
This role focuses on the functional coordination of cross-departmental projects involving network upgrades, Wi-Fi deployments, and IT infrastructure enhancements. The position works closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery—without requiring hands-on technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and organize technology infrastructure projects—including network refreshes, wireless implementations, and systems upgrades.
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning through closure, ensuring alignment on scope, timeline, and budget.
- Serve as the point of coordination between internal teams and third-party vendors, keeping tasks and communications aligned across locations.
- Maintain and update RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) to monitor project health and guide risk mitigation strategies.
- Create and manage project documentation such as charters, status reports, meeting notes, timelines, and budget summaries (CAPEX/OPEX).
- Facilitate recurring stakeholder meetings and provide consistent reporting to leadership on project progress and potential obstacles.
- Support the improvement of PMO standards and contribute to repeatable processes and templates across the project portfolio.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience with in the marina, cruise, or hospitality industries is highly desirable. Projects may involve:
- Wi-Fi and guest-facing connectivity solutions
- Mobile check-in platforms or RFID-based access systems
- POS and inventory platforms used in leisure or dockside operations
- Satellite or remote communication networks
- Technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Ubuntu, or other cloud-managed networking tools
What You Bring
- A background managing infrastructure or operations-related projects within IT environments
- Strong understanding of how to guide project execution and stakeholder collaboration across non-technical and technical groups
- Ability to clearly document and track project components—including RAID logs, dependencies, and critical milestones
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience working with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and other collaborative tools
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in IT project management
- Prior experience coordinating projects across multiple locations and vendor partners
- PMP, CAPM, or Scrum certification preferred but not required
