Description

The Technical Specialist, Asset Operations is responsible for accurate processing, organization, tracking, digitization, and cataloging of Activision Publishing’s physical and digital IP assets. This role requires a highly detail‑oriented and process‑driven individual capable of producing consistent, review‑ready work with minimal correction or supervision. The position supports long‑term preservation, accessibility, and operational reliability across both physical and digital asset workflows. Success depends on technical execution, accountability, predictability, organizational rigor, clear communication, and the ability to independently manage work while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

As physical processing initiatives are completed, the role will shift toward digital asset management, metadata quality control, database maintenance, and scalable operational workflows. This is a temporary 12‑month onsite position in Sherman Oaks, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to multiple sites within the Los Angeles area as required.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, label, process, organize, and track physical media including tapes, hard drives, optical discs, and related archival materials.
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory records and ensure materials are stored according to established organizational standards.
  • Migrate and digitize content from legacy media formats into networked storage systems.
  • Organize digital assets using standardized naming conventions, folder structures, and metadata frameworks.
  • Generate, review, and maintain accurate metadata for database ingest and long‑term discoverability.
  • Maintain a high level of data accuracy and consistency across spreadsheets, databases, trackers, and archival records.
  • Process incoming asset requests and operational tasks through internal ticketing systems such as Jira.
  • Maintain clear visibility into active work, priorities, blockers, and project status through agreed‑upon tracking systems.
  • Deliver work that is organized, review‑ready, and requires minimal cleanup or restructuring.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute ideas for process improvements, automation opportunities, and scalable operational practices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to fulfill archival, operational, and production‑related requests.
  • Assist with ongoing database cleanup, digital organization, and archival quality control initiatives.
  • Safely move and organize boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years handling physical media and archival materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, consistent work with minimal oversight.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong spreadsheet, metadata entry, and database management skills.
  • Familiarity with digital file organization, folder structures, and naming convention systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational tasks while maintaining visibility into progress and priorities.
