Product Manager - USDS

Responsibilities

Team Intro:
The USDS Tech & Product organization is the engineering engine responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of Tik Tok’s ecosystem in the U.S.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to help expand our team's work delivering this mission. You will need to wear a variety of hats as you work with these different teams in order to ensure project success.

• Drive product strategy for the US in multiple business areas.
• Architect and implement product systems, including user-facing products, operational tooling and machine learning.
• Have a deep understanding of machine learning model development and measurement to partner with our Machine Learning Engineering (ie. Algo) teams.
• Lead the ideation, prioritization, and execution of initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives around user research, product ideation, KPI design, A/B testing and go-to-market.
• Define the long-term product roadmap and OKRs; collaborate with partner teams on product, technical, and privacy decisions.
• Ensure our products and strategies meet local and regional compliance, legal and security requirements.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and constantly changing environment.
• Work with global teams across multiple regions, time zones, languages; open to domestic and international travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Product Management for consumer-facing social media, user-generated content, mobile or SaaS companies.
• Strong analytical skills to drive product decisions with data.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in understanding, detecting and moderating AI-generated content.
• Experience in product management with cross-functional teams, including both technical and non-technical audiences, across different time zones, cultures, and languages.
• Adept at collaborating with technical teams such as Data Science, Machine Learning and Software Development teams.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $156,864 - $393,300 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
