Requisition

Senior SharePoint & Power Platform Engineer Consultant (Manager) – Migrations & Modern Intranet

EY advises clients on how to architect, migrate, and modernize their digital workplace using Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform. Our work spans strategy and technical architecture, solution delivery, and technical advisory services, with a strong emphasis on SharePoint modernization, large‑scale content and workload migrations, and adoption of the Power Platform.

Role summary

In this role, you will lead and deliver enterprise SharePoint Server (on‑premises) to Microsoft 365 migrations and build modern SharePoint Online intranets. You will shape target information architecture, migration waves, and modernization approaches (including workflow/forms modernization to Power Platform), and partner closely with client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.

As a senior consultant, you will bring deep experience across SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 administration (including Entra , Teams, and One Drive). You will lead and participate in full project life cycles—discovery, assessment, target‑state design, build/configuration, testing, migration execution, and deployment—and contribute to high‑quality client outcomes through solution blueprints, design reviews, and cross‑workstream collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define migration scope and waves, estimate effort/complexity, and establish cutover and hypercare plans.
  • Design the target intranet: define information architecture, hub/site strategy, navigation, search approach, metadata/content types, and permissions model.
  • Execute migrations: configure and operate migration tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, and drive successful cutovers.
  • Modernize solutions: map legacy workflows/forms to Power Automate and Power Apps patterns where appropriate.
  • Enable operations & governance: establish standards, provisioning/lifecycle controls, and operational reporting.
  • Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client‑ready deliverables, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly.

Your experience with enterprise tenant‑to‑tenant migrations (M&A, divestitures, consolidations) and on‑premises to cloud migrations will be critical to success.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Delivering work across project phases with strong governance and risk management.
  • Creating client‑ready deliverables and contributing to reusable assets.
  • Applying broad technical depth across SharePoint Server/Online, Microsoft 365 identity and collaboration services, and the Power Platform.
  • Working effectively with client technologists and partners to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders through clear communication and reliable delivery.
  • Communicating effectively with executives and technical audiences, translating requirements into actionable designs.
  • Interacting with teammates, clients, and executives to foster collaboration.

Qualifications (must‑have)

  • 5+ years of consulting experience delivering SharePoint solutions and/or migrations using Microsoft technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online administration.
  • Proven experience planning and executing SharePoint migrations.
  • Experience with a major migration toolset (e.g., Microsoft Migration Manager, Share Gate, AvePoint, Quest).
  • Experience implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets (IA, hubs, navigation, search, metadata, permissions).
  • Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for forms/workflow modernization.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to lead workshops and present recommendations.
