The Role
We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Service Desk Associate / Field Engineer to join our engineering department. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a challenging environment and are eager to gain exposure to new and exciting technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing onsite and remote support to our diverse client base, primarily in the Los Angeles area.
The position involves traveling to client sites, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and deploying various IT solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for engineers looking to expand their skills and work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and follow-up skills, along with exceptional troubleshooting abilities. A minimum of three years of experience in the Information Technology field is required, with preference given to those with experience in the hospitality industry. Candidates should have hands-on experience in field support and remote support scenarios, demonstrating professionalism and a customer-centric approach. Familiarity with a variety of technologies including Windows and Apple operating systems, network hardware, and mobile devices is essential.
A proactive attitude and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently are also important for success in this role.
Key responsibilities include providing onsite support at client locations, which involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and deployment of desktop and mobile devices. The role requires managing wireless network support and deployment using Meraki, Cisco, and Aruba hardware, as well as maintaining email accounts through Microsoft Online Services and Google Workspace. The associate will perform server maintenance tasks involving Windows Server and Active Directory, along with endpoint detection and response using Sentinel One.
Backup management using Cove MSP Backup and Veeam is also part of the role.
Additional responsibilities include supporting mobile devices across Apple and Android platforms, providing remote assistance for desktop and application issues, and performing low-voltage cabling and repairs. The role involves documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), supporting office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and coordinating with vendors like Verizon and AT&T for support and maintenance. The candidate will also assist in projects related to network installations, wireless implementations, and new infrastructure builds, contributing to the overall IT strategy and ensuring optimal system performance.
