• Project Duration: Long-term engagement approx. 1 year. (Initial contract for 6 months
  )
• Work Mode: Remote
• Work Schedule:
• Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday
• Weekly Off: Monday & Tuesday
• Shift Timings: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST (Wednesday to Friday)
• Weekend Work: Activity-based, depending on planned database maintenance, replication configuration, and business requirements.
• On-Call Support: 2-week rotational on-call support as per project roster.

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in enterprise production environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2014/2016/2017/2019/2022).
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Architecture and Internals (Buffer Pool, Plan Cache, Transaction Log, TempDB).
• Advanced experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Query Store, Execution Plans, DMVs, and Wait Statistics.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Locking, Blocking, Deadlocks, Memory Grants, TempDB, and I/O bottlenecks.
• Strong experience with SQL Server High Availability & Disaster Recovery technologies including:
• Always On Availability Groups
• Failover Cluster Instances (FCI)
• Log Shipping
• Replication
• Change Data Capture (CDC)
• Strong experience in Backup, Restore, Point-in-Time Recovery, and Disaster Recovery planning.
• Experience implementing SQL Server Security including TDE, Encryption, Auditing, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Hands-on experience with T-SQL scripting, SQL Server Agent, and Power Shell automation.
• Experience supporting Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
• Experience working in Production Support environments.
• Mandatory experience in the US Healthcare domain.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Manage and support SQL Server environments across Production, UAT, QA, and Development environments.
• Perform advanced database performance tuning and optimization using Query Store, Execution Plans, DMVs, and Wait Statistics.
• Troubleshoot complex SQL Server issues including Deadlocks, Locking, Blocking, TempDB contention, Memory Grants, and I/O bottlenecks.
• Design and maintain Backup, Restore, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability strategies.
• Implement and maintain Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clusters, Log Shipping, Replication, and CDC.
• Perform SQL Server patching, upgrades, migrations, and version upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Configure and maintain SQL Server Security, Encryption, Auditing, and Compliance standards.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using T-SQL, SQL Agent, and Power Shell.
• Support Azure SQL workloads including Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Perform proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and database health checks.
• Drive incident management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and preventive improvements.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Security teams during deployments and production releases.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of mission-critical database systems.
