Database Administrator - Los Angeles, USA

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles USA. As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our companys databases to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This is a contract role with potential for extension and visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.

If you are a self-motivated individual with strong technical skills in database management.

• Design, implement and maintain databases for various applications and systems
• Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues or errors within the databases
• Develop backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement database changes or upgrades
• Perform regular data maintenance tasks such as data cleaning and archiving
• Develop and maintain database documentation including procedures, policies and standards

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL etc
• Experience with database design, data modeling and performance tuning
• Familiarity with database security protocols and best practices
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Certification in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database

We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this contract position.
