Digital Product Associate Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Ecommerce
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Ecommerce, the Digital Product Associate Manager supports the day-to-day ownership and optimization of Cult Gaia's digital commerce experience across Shopify and Tapcart. This role leads digital product execution across site merchandising, content, product launches, platform configuration, and ecommerce operations, while partnering closely with the Technical Ecommerce Lead on new functionality, integrations, automation, and process improvements.
Working cross-functionally with Planning, Merchandising, Retail, Operations, Customer Service, and Technology teams, this role translates business needs into scalable digital solutions that improve the customer experience, operational efficiency, and ecommerce performance.
Digital Product & Site Experience
- Lead day-to-day management of Cult Gaia's digital storefront across Shopify and Tapcart, ensuring an accurate, engaging, and high-performing customer experience.
- Own digital content, merchandising, and platform updates across Shopify and Tapcart, including homepage, landing pages, collection pages, navigation, promotional messaging, and Shopify Theme Customizer updates.
- Execute seasonal campaigns, promotional launches, and marketing content updates across web and mobile, ensuring timely implementation and a consistent brand experience.
- Drive digital merchandising across Shopify and Tapcart by optimizing product placement, collection presentation, navigation, promotional content, and SKU assortment in partnership with Planning and Merchandising to maximize conversion.
- Own ongoing QA across desktop, mobile, and Tapcart, proactively identifying site issues, documenting defects, and validating fixes and enhancements before release.
- Monitor competitor websites, ecommerce technology, industry trends, and customer experience best practices to recommend improvements to site functionality, merchandising, content presentation, and conversion.
- Own end-to-end product launches, including Shopify product setup, merchandising, imagery, preorder management (new season and reorders), launch readiness, and post-launch QA.
- Manage dropship partnerships, coordinating with vendors to maintain accurate product data and reliable fulfillment.
- Execute markdowns and price updates as directed by the Planning team across full-price and outlet assortments.
- Maintain accurate product data, imagery, metafields, and platform configuration within Shopify, supporting retail product setup, Shopify expansion stores, and ongoing catalog integrity.
- Write and maintain product copy in partnership with Merchandising to communicate craftsmanship, materials, and key product value propositions.
- Partner with the Data Analyst to enrich product data through metafields and enhanced product attributes that improve discoverability, reporting, personalization, and customer experience.
- Develop and maintain compelling, trend-driven, and brand-appropriate product categorizations and collections informed by merchandising strategy, product attributes, customer behavior, and performance metrics.
- Partner with the Technical Ecommerce Lead to define business requirements, improve Shopify functionality, support new feature implementations, and streamline ecommerce workflows through technology and automation.
- Own QA and user acceptance testing (UAT) for ecommerce features, app updates, integrations, and site enhancements, validating requirements before production release.
