Founded in 1952, the Institute continues to train physician-scientists and manage healthcare programs for 60,000 underserved families throughout South Los Angeles.
SUMMARY The Temporary HRIS Specialist is a Paycom subject matter expert responsible for evaluating, optimizing, and remediating HR, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and talent management processes within Paycom. This role will lead a series of project-based initiatives designed to improve system functionality, data integrity, compliance, reporting, workflow automation, and the overall user experience.
The HRIS Specialist will conduct a comprehensive assessment of Paycom, identify system inefficiencies and configuration issues, develop solutions, and implement best practices. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and operational leaders to maximize the organization's investment in Paycom and ensure sustainable processes are in place upon completion of the assignment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Configure and implement Paycom modules that are not currently being utilized, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and industry best practices.
Assess current utilization of Paycom modules and identify opportunities to enhance system functionality, efficiency, and user adoption.
Reconfigure system settings, workflows, and business processes to improve performance and align with organizational objectives and best practices.
Optimize employee and manager self-service capabilities to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
Identify and recommend process improvements that increase automation, strengthen internal controls, and reduce administrative burden.
Evaluate and enhance approval workflows, security roles, system permissions, notifications, and other system controls.
Eliminate manual workarounds, redundant processes, and unnecessary data entry through effective system configuration and automation.
Lead the design, testing, and implementation of Paycom enhancements and process improvements.
Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Paycom representatives to resolve system issues and maximize return on the organization's Paycom investment.
Develop sustainable solutions that improve data integrity, compliance, reporting capabilities, and overall operational effectiveness.
EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS Significant Paycom administration experience required
