Alpha Gov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a Alpha Gov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research. We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel.
When you authorize it, Alpha Gov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal. Alpha Gov is seeking a Data Governance Lead to develop a data-governance strategy and implementation plan for a state court system — covering data standards, stewardship, quality, interoperability, and actionable roadmaps for court IT leadership.
you'll do:
- Assess current-state data practices, stewardship roles, and interoperability gaps across court systems
- Design a practical data-governance framework (policies, roles, standards, quality metrics)
- Produce an implementation plan with phased roadmap, ownership, and success measures
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops with IT, court operations, and business owners
- Contribute data-governance qualifications and past-performance narrative to Alpha Gov proposals when permissioned
- Data-governance strategy and implementation experience (public-sector or large enterprise)
- Familiarity with data stewardship models, data-quality programs, and interoperability planning
- Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites
- Judicial, justice, or court-system data experience
- Prior work with state-enterprise data standards or master-data programs
- DAMA-DMBOK / DCAM or comparable framework familiarity
