This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.
Alpha Gov is seeking a Business Intelligence / Dashboard Developer to design and build a user-friendly interactive public-sector dashboard that communicates how and where a state environmental agency invests grant and loan funding in water infrastructure - using interactive narratives, graphics, and mapping for officials, stakeholders, funding recipients, and residents.
What you'll do:- Design and develop interactive dashboards and narrative data visualizations for public-agency audiences
- Integrate grant/loan and infrastructure investment data into clear maps, charts, and story-driven views
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders on data sources, metrics, and usability
- Deliver production-ready BI artifacts with documentation and handoff materials
- Contribute BI / dashboard qualifications and past-performance narrative to Alpha Gov proposals when permissioned
- Hands-on business intelligence / dashboard development (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable)
- Experience building interactive maps or geospatial data views for non-technical audiences
- Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites
- Public-sector environmental, infrastructure, or grants-data visualization experience
- Open-data or civic-tech storytelling experience
- Prior New England or state environmental-agency work
