We are currently recruiting for a Senior Underwriter in Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid in-office 2 days). The Senior Underwriter will drive new property & casualty business and handle larger renewal business within the Entertainment Production sector in the region. Lines of business include commercial general liability, property, inland marine, umbrella, auto and workers’ compensation. In addition to insuring film, touring bands and theater business, all businesses which feed into or off of the entertainment sector are included.

Examples include venues, equipment rental houses, post-production facilities, recording studios and talent agents. Risk vary greatly in size and complexity (from start-ups to large, multinational entities). 135K – 150K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package

• Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts
• Develop new relationships and increase productivity of existing relationships
• Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitability
• Engage with the national Entertainment team
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and deliver as promised
• Regional travel required including industry events and broker visits

• 6+ years of experience in Entertainment Underwriting or P&C Middle Market Package coverages
• A./B.S degree is preferred
• Proven track record of understanding and delivering meaningful underwriting profit
• Strong understanding of sales principles and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented, ability to collaborate and desire to share information across teams
• Willingness to develop business and broker relationships, with travel some travel in the region and the USA for events / conferences
