Position: Insurance Agent / Broker

An Insurance Agent or Broker is responsible for helping individuals and businesses select appropriate insurance policies to protect their assets, health, and financial well‑being. The role involves assessing clients’ needs, explaining coverage options, recommending suitable policies, and maintaining long‑term client relationships while ensuring compliance with insurance regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with clients to assess their insurance needs and financial goals.
  • Explain different types of insurance policies, including life, health, property, and casualty insurance.
  • Recommend suitable insurance coverage based on clients’ risk profile and budget.
  • Prepare quotes, policy applications, and insurance documentation.
  • Assist clients in completing insurance applications and required paperwork.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients and provide policy updates or renewals.
  • Identify opportunities to cross‑sell additional insurance products.
  • Support clients during the claims process and coordinate with claims adjusters.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, insurance products, and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate client records and sales reports.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Valid insurance license required according to local regulations.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or financial services is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex insurance policies clearly.
