Language & Culture Specialist II / Armenian Interpreter

Under general supervision, we are looking for an Armenian Interpreter (Language and Cultural Specialist II) to provide interpreting and translation services in a culturally sensitive manner to facilitate communication between speakers of different languages ponsibilities include oral and written interpretation, translating medical instructions, medication schedules, and hospital‑related administrative correspondence with patients/families, and collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver care. The interpreter will also assist with training and orienting new staff interpreters and comply with hospital policies regarding patient confidentiality and informed consent.

• 2+ years of experience interpreting and translating in a healthcare setting.
• Experience working with diverse cultural and socio‑economic backgrounds.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English and Armenian (and Russian).
• Ability to translate and interpret medical terminology across full range of developmental and educational levels.
• Completion of a minimum 40‑hour Healthcare Interpreter training.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline preferred.
• Healthcare Interpreter National Certification or highest national credentialing through CCHI or another national organization (where applicable for the language).

USD $49,504.00 – USD $85,394.00. Salary may vary based on education, experience, and qualifications.
