This is an in-office position, either in Stockton or Los Angeles, CA - FT.

• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish, carry case load.
• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
• Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents.
• Research case law and premises liability; gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other relevant evidence (preferred experience with Westlaw).
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information.
• Negotiate settlement offers and appropriately settle cases on clients’ behalf.
• Make court appearances at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and throughout California.
• Document and update case files in case management systems (preferred experience with Case Peer).
• Manage a team of paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, and legal secretaries.
• Track work calendars, including appointment and court deadlines pursuant to the California Code of Civil Procedure.
• Calculate costs and support drafting settlement breakdowns for clients and insurance providers.

• JD, licensed and admitted to the California State Bar.
• Experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury - preferred 1-5 years.
