Salary range:
The actual pay rate for part‑time positions will depend upon specific teaching assignments and number of units taught. Part‑time lecturers can reasonably expect to receive total pay ranging from $1,477 per semester per unit (for assisting) to $4,437 per semester per unit (for solo teaching).

UCLA Law School invites applications for one‑term, part‑time, limited‑term appointments for the 2026‑27 academic year. Candidates will teach courses in one of UCLA Law’s degree programs: the JD program, the Master of Legal Studies (MLS) program, and the Master of Laws (LLM) program.
Teaching assignments may include:
- JD courses in areas such as Legal Writing, Health Care Law, Drug and Device Law, Employment Law, Entertainment Law, Disability Law, Tax Law, Business Law, Entrepreneurship Law, or Contract Drafting.
- MLS courses such as Legal Writing/Analysis, Health Care Law, Drug and Device Law, Employment Law (including Employment Discrimination Law), Entertainment Law, Disability Law, Tax Law, Business Law, Entrepreneurship Law, or Contract Drafting/Analysis delivered in evening Zoom sessions.
- LLM courses such as Legal Research and Writing, Intellectual Property, Civil Procedure, Contract Drafting, or Civil Litigation delivered in person with flexible class times.

Qualifications- J.D. or equivalent advanced degree
- Excellent academic record
- Substantial, distinguished legal practice experience
- Experience with in a distinct legal specialty
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching
- Prior successful law school teaching experience strongly preferred (include teaching evaluations if available)
- Curriculum Vitae – most recently updated CV
- Cover Letter – discuss area(s) of professional expertise and course(s) taught or propose to teach
- List of references – names and contact information for at least two professional references
- Teaching evaluations – optional, include if available
