About the Opportunity

A global Am Law 100 firm is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its Los Angeles office.

This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated debt and equity real estate transactions within a distinctly business-minded platform known for pragmatic execution and entrepreneurial thinking.

The Practice

The team handles complex commercial real estate finance and investment matters for institutional investors, lenders, sponsors, and developers.

Required experience includes:

• Equity transactions and operating agreements
• Purchase and sale agreements
• Transactional due diligence (including title and survey review)
• Managing all aspects of transactional closings

Associates are expected to take ownership of matters, exercise sound judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced transactional environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of complex commercial real estate experience
• Experience gained at a nationally or regionally recognized law firm
• Admitted to the California State Bar
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Experience handling debt and equity transactions from diligence through closing
• Ability to manage multiple active matters independently

Compensation

Salary range: $235,000 – $310,000

Compensation is determined based on experience, class year, and other operational considerations.

The firm pays Cravath-scale compensation with a 1,900-hour billable target.

Additional compensation highlights include:

• Discretionary “superstar” bonuses above standard and special bonuses
• Recent special bonuses ranging approximately $6,000-$25,000 depending on seniority
