, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Labor & Employment Practice in Century City or Downtown Los Angeles
. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of sophisticated employment matters, advising employers across industries on complex workplace issues and high-stakes litigation. The position is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to deepen their labor and employment expertise within a collaborative team.
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in California
, in good standing - 3+ years of substantive labor & employment litigation experience
- Experience handling a full range of labor and employment matters, including defense of claims before state and federal courts
- Background in motion practice
, discovery (including e-discovery
), and drafting motions with proper California citation formatting - Strong background in counseling employers on compliance with California and federal employment laws and regulations
- Experience with union-management relations, reductions in force, employment agreements, workplace policies, and employee benefits programs
- Substantial hearing and deposition experience preferred
- Experience with labor & employment class actions and PAGA matters is a plus
- Immediate transferable skills and the ability to manage matters with minimal supervision
- Ability to advise human resources professionals and business leaders on day-to-day
- Prior experience at a large regional
, national
, or international law firm is strongly preferred - Soft Skills:
Strong legal research and writing ability, excellent communication and analytical skills, organizational efficiency, and the ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced practice
- Defend employers in labor and employment litigation before state and federal courts
- Advise clients on compliance with California and federal employment statutes and regulations
- Counsel management on employee relations issues
, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions - Draft and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, and workplace policies
- Support clients in workforce management initiatives, including reductions in force and reorganizations
- Represent employers in matters involving unions and collective bargaining issues
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive client solutions
- Manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines
